About Chad Pearson

Chad Pearson is currently a Human Performance Strength and Conditioning Specialist for elite military personnel in the Eastern United States.

 

Certifications: NSCA-RSCC-D* and CSCS, USAW, Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) - Level 2, Integrative Restoration Institute (iRest) Teacher

Prior to working with America's finest Special Operators, Pearson spent a year as Head Football Strength and Conditioning coach at the University of Akron and was responsible for all aspects of strength training, speed and agility training, and energy system development as well as oversaw nutrition and fueling for the Zips.
 
He came to Akron after serving as the Director of Athletic Performance at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for two years. There he was responsible for all aspects of performance training the UTC football team as well as overseeing the entire strength and conditioning department. The Mocs utilized many advanced technologies including VX Sport GPS monitors and were able to drastically decrease soft-tissue injuries and decrease the time missed due to other injuries.
 
Pearson spent six years on the Football Strength and Conditioning staff at University of Minnesota where he coordinated the planning and programming of off-season speed development, agility training and overall energy-system advancement for the Gophers. He also helped direct team training schedules, while assisting with student-athlete data management and analytics for technology such as Catapult GPS and OmegaWave.

Prior to his time at Minnesota, Pearson spent three seasons at Northern Illinois University.  There he worked with the Huskies’ women's basketball, football, baseball and softball teams.

His previous experience includes work as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Southern Illinois University where he earned his master's degree in kinesiology. 

Pearson was a two-sport athlete at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.  He played tailback for the Beaver football team and was a sprinter on the track team, earning all-conference honors on both before graduating in 2006.

In his spare time, Pearson likes to spend time with his wife and two boys, coaching his boys' sports teams, training in the weight room, exploring the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and reading. In addition, Pearson also competes and instructs Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
